Production time
Every shadow box is handmade to order. Production time is approximately 7 business days before the piece is ready for pickup or handed to the carrier. Shipping transit time is separate and begins once your order ships. Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. During busy holiday periods, production time may be longer and ordering cutoffs may be used.
Shipping
Kathy’s Card-tel currently ships within the contiguous United States only (the 48 lower states and Washington, D.C.) using carrier services. We do not yet ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, military addresses (APO, FPO, DPO), or outside the U.S. Shipping is charged separately from the price of the item and is shown at checkout before you pay. Because each shadow box has a glass front and is packed in a protective box, shipping is a flat rate based on the size of the piece or pieces in your order: larger pieces cost more to ship.
Local pickup
Local pickup may be available by arrangement. If you are nearby and would prefer to pick up your order, contact Kathy before ordering so she can confirm whether pickup is possible. Pickup details are shared privately once your order is ready.
Sizes
Shadow boxes are made in 8x8, 8x10, and 12x12. Not every design is offered in every size; the sizes available for each design are shown on its product page. All shadow boxes have glass fronts.
How we pack glass-front shadow boxes
Every framed shadow box is treated as fragile. Orders are packed in a rigid corrugated box with corner and edge protection and generous cushioning on all sides, so the piece does not shift when the box is shaken. Larger or more delicate pieces may be double-boxed. Kathy sends you tracking information when the carrier provides it.
If your order arrives damaged
Keep all of the packaging and take clear photos of the outer box, the packing materials, and the piece, then contact Kathy as soon as possible. Made-to-order, custom, and personalized items are final sale once production begins. Damaged, defective, or incorrect orders will be made right. See Returns & Damaged Orders for details.
