A handmade accordion card that stretches into a long row of birthday candles. Each candle is layered white cardstock with a colorful wavy stripe and a yellow paper flame, so the whole card reads as one long glowing cake top when it is extended. An arched panel on one end carries the birthday number, and the teal end panel carries the greeting.
Folded, it closes into a compact card; opened, it stands up on a table or mantel and makes a milestone birthday feel like the celebration it is. Dozens of pieces are cut and layered by hand, which is why it is the most involved card in the shop.
Personalize it: Tell Kathy the birthday age and she makes the arch and the greeting read that number, for example “85 candles to celebrate you!” Enter the details in the personalization box before you add the card to your cart.
Made to order by Kathy; please allow about 7 business days before it ships. Carefully packaged to help protect your handmade card during shipping.
